Sergio Floccari (born November 12, 1981 in Vibo Valentia) is a striker for Serie A's Atalanta.
After having played in the lower leagues at the beginning of his career, Floccari had a quick passage at Genoa in 2002, before joining Rimini for four seasons, being protagonist of two promotions from Serie C2 to Serie B with the biancorossi. In January 2006, he left for Messina, where he had his first top-flight football taste.
In the summer of 2007, following relegation of Messina from Serie A, Floccari joined Atalanta, where he was to battle for a striker spot with the likes of Simone Inzaghi, Antonio Langella and Riccardo Zampagna. After Zampagna's bust-up with coach Luigi Del Neri (which resulted in a player departure to Vicenza Calcio), Floccari's first-team opportunities increased, and he scored a total of eight goals during the season, also providing some impressive performances.
